FOOTBALL IN HIGH HEELS: SWEET, SWEET FANTASY BABY
Welcome back to Football In High Heels for more lessons on Fantasy Football and how to play a winning game!
IDP (Individual Defensive Players)—What It Means: This league type allows fantasy owners to choose individual defensive players for their team rosters instead of using team defense.
What I Thought It Meant: I kind of figured this is what it meant, but have no clue what individual defensive players means in comparison to team defense, so that will be a lesson for another time.
IR (Injured Reserve)—What It Means: A player who is currently injured can remain on a fantasy roster without taking up an official roster spot.
What I Thought It Meant: You reserve the injured player and add him when he gets better….kind of like putting him on layaway.
Keeper league—What It Means: Coaches retain a certain amount of players each season.
What I Thought It Meant: Players kept throughout the entire game of Fantasy Football.
League settings—What It Means: This is how fantasy point values are determined. It is based on the league rules and stat modifiers.
What I Thought It Meant: Actually, I was pretty close on this one. YAY!
PPR (Points Per Reception)—What It Means: This is a scoring system where players receive an additional point for each reception they have.
What I Thought It Meant: I knew it had to do with getting points, but didn’t know the specifics.
More lessons coming soon! Stay tuned.
