FOOTBALL IN HIGH HEELS: WHO PLAYS WHO AND WHY
Have you ever wondered how football games are played? Football In High Heels now has the answer as to who plays whom and why during the NFL season. Here is a visual aid I found via visually, as well as my own understanding of the game.
- So there are two sides: AFC and NFC, which are further divided into subdivisions of North, South, East and West. In my mind, it looks like the high school divide in the movie Mean Girls. I couldn’t tell you which team is considered the Regina George of the NFL, but based on Super Bowl wins, the Pittsburgh Steelers are the Glen Coco of the NFL . Six for you, Pittsburgh Steelers, you go Pittsburgh Steelers!! (and none for Gretchen Weiners! Bye!)
- Each team plays 16 games, against each other in their division, one in another division during their conference, one in the other conference and then in other divisions in its conference. Think of it as Hollywood week on American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance Vegas week and the like. This will eventually lead to who will make it into the playoffs.
- The playoffs (divisional and wildcard) consist of the top two teams in each division and wild cards playing each other and then leading to the conference championship and finally the Super Bowl. So, it is like the quarterfinals, semi finals and finals in Dancing With The Stars, America’s Got Talent ands other such reality shows. The winner then gets the Super Bowl Champion title, the Super Bowl ring and the glory of being the best team of the year.
