FOOTBALL IN HIGH HEELS: BILLS ADD AND WELCOME BACK PLAYERS

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. – The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed DT Andre Fluellen to the team’s 53-man roster. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Fluellen rejoins the Bills after being released by the team on September 4. The 6-2, 280-pound Florida State product originally entered the league in 2008 as a third round pick (87th overall) of the Detroit Lions. Fluellen has spent the majority of his career with the Lions, with the exception of two games in 2012 with the Dolphins. The eight-year veteran has played in 77 career games totaling 65 tackles (39 solo), 4.5 sacks, 12 quarterback hits and 10 tackles for loss. Fluellen saw action in eight games for Detroit in 2014.
The Bills also announced that the team has added LB IK Enemkpali, T Chris Martin, DE Cedric Reed, QB Alex Tanney and CB Jaylen Watkins to the team’s practice squad.
Enemkpali rejoins the Bills after being released by the team on September 4. Enemkpali originally entered the NFL in 2014 as a sixth round (210th overall) draft pick of the New York Jets. The 6-1, 261-pound Louisiana Tech product appeared in six games as a rookie last season, recording three tackles on special teams.
Martin originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Houston Texans following the 2014 NFL Draft. The 6-5, 305-pound Central Florida product spent last season on the New England Patriots and Texans practice squads. Following the 2014 season, Martin signed with the San Francisco 49ers before going on to spend training camp with the Miami Dolphins and the Patriots. Martin played in 46 games during his collegiate career, starting 27.
Reed rejoins the Bills after being released by the team on September 4. The 6-5, 269-pound Texas product started 32-of-46 career games played during his four years with the Longhorns, racking up 201 tackles, 37 tackles for loss, 18 sacks and six forced fumbles. Reed earned Second-Team All-Big 12 honors in 2014.
Tanney will be making his second stint at One Bills Drive after participating in the team’s 2012 rookie minicamp on a try-out basis. The 6-4, 220-pound Monmouth (Ill.) product was originally signed by the Kansas City Chiefs as a rookie free agent in 2012. He spent the 2015 offseason with the Tennessee Titans and was released on September 5. Tanney has also spent time with the Dallas Cowboys, Cleveland Browns and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Watkins, the brother of Bills WR Sammy Watkins, originally entered the NFL as a fourth round pick (101st overall) of the Philadelphia Eagles. The 5-11, 194-pound Florida product played in four games for Philadelphia in 2014. Watkins appeared in 48 games with 28 starts during his time with the Gators, recording 133 tackles, three interceptions and 21 passes defensed.
