FOOTBALL IN HIGH HEELS: BEING STUDLY
As we continue to learn about Fantasy Football, I realize that not only do I actually know more than I thought (I know, who would have guessed?) but it is actually quite interesting. Here are tonight’s lessons!
Pre-rankings—What It Means: This is how NFL players are rated before the draft.
What I Thought It Meant: I actually was pretty close on this one, mostly because it made me think of the Vegas odds people use to rank the Dancing With The Stars contestants before the season begins.
Private league—What It Means: This is a league you can join by invitation only and that’s controlled by a commissioner.
What I Thought It Meant: This was pretty self explanatory.
Public league—What It Means: This is a league where anyone can sign up and play.
What I Thought It Meant: Again, it is pretty self explanatory.
Sleeper—What It Means: This is a little-known player who’s ready to awaken and be great.
What I Thought It Meant: Thanks to my many years of being in the entertainment business and watching various awards shows, I figured this was what it meant. It made me think of sleeper hits in the movies that sweep all the awards at the Emmys, Oscars etc.
Stud—What It Means: This is a top-rated fantasy starter.
What I Thought It Meant: The biggest studs or hotties on the team….or someone named Chad….invented by Sunny.
