via press release:
The National Football League announced today that Bills linebacker Preston Brown was named AFC defensive player of the week for his week three performance against the Miami Dolphins. Brown posted two interceptions including one returned for an interception-touchdown in Buffalo’s 41-14 victory in Miami. A second-year player from Louisville, Brown also added seven tackles including one tackle for loss.

– His 43-yard interception-touchdown was the first by a Bills linebacker since Bryan Scott’s 43-yard INT-TD return on October 2, 2011 at Cincinnati.
– He has three career interceptions and the Bills are 2-0 in games when Brown records an interception.
– He currently is tied for the NFL-lead in interceptions with two.
