STAMFORD, Conn. – September 30, 2015 – NBC Sports’ Sunday Night Football heads to New Orleans, La., when the first-place Dallas Cowboys face off against the New Orleans Saints at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Coverage begins with Football Night In America at 7 p.m. ET this Sunday, Oct. 4, on NBC.

This marks the third straight year the Cowboys-Saints matchup has been featured on SNF. The first-place Cowboys aim for their 11th consecutive road victory on Sunday, while the Saints look to re-establish their home dominance.

Calling Cowboys-Saints are seven-time Emmy Award-winner Al Michaels (play-by-play), in his record 30th season as the voice of the NFL’s premier primetime package; 16-time Emmy Award-winner Cris Collinsworth, who has won the Emmy for Outstanding Event Analyst in each of his six seasons in the Sunday Night Football booth; and two-time Emmy Award-winning sideline reporter Michele Tafoya.

NBC’s coverage of Sunday Night Football is led by Emmy Award-winning producer Fred Gaudelli and Emmy Award-winning director Drew Esocoff.

Football Night in America, the most-watched studio show in sports, is hosted by 26-time Emmy Award-winner Bob Costas, who will report from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Costas will be joined on site by Collinsworth, Tafoya, and two-time Super Bowl winner Hines Ward.

Dan Patrick co-hosts Football Night from NBC Sports Group’s International Broadcast Center in Stamford, Conn., joined by Super Bowl-winning head coach Tony Dungy, two-time Super Bowl winner Rodney HarrisonMike Florio of Pro Football Talk on NBCSN and NBCSports.com, and NFL Insider Peter King. Kathryn Tappen will report from Sports Authority Field at Mile High in Denver, Colo., on the Vikings-Broncos game.

NFL TURNING POINT
 AIRS TONIGHT AT 11 P.M. ET ON NBCSN

Tonight’s episode of “NFL Turning Point” at 11 p.m. ET on NBCSN features QB Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos’ matchup against QB Matthew Stafford and the Detroit Lions. The program examines the combination of key plays in the fourth quarter by both the Broncos offense and defense, which was the turning point in the game and secured the win for Denver. In addition, the episode breaks down QB Tom Brady’s 400th career touchdown pass and the Patriots’ win over the Jaguars; the Bengals’ game-winning drive against the Ravens; and Atlanta Falcons WR Julio Jones record-setting start to the season.

Hosted by Football Night In America’s Dan Patrick, the 30-minute NFL Turning Point, co-produced by NFL Films, will air weekly throughout the entire NFL season, including the playoffs and Super Bowl.

NBC’S SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL AVERAGING NEARLY 26 MILLION VIEWERS – BEST START FOR NFL PRIMETIME PACKAGE IN 21 YEARS

Through the opening three weeks of the NFL season (four telecasts), NBC’s Sunday Night Football is averaging 25.6 million viewers – the best viewership for the NFL’s broadcast primetime package at this point in the season in more than two decades (25.9 million in 1994), according to official national data released by The Nielsen Company.

SNF viewership is up 10% from last year at this time (23.2 million viewers). Sunday Night Footballis also averaging a 14.9/26 national household rating and a 9.5 rating in the Adult 18-49 demographic, up 10% and 7%, respectively from this point last season.

Football Night in America (7:30-8:15 p.m. ET), the most-watched studio show in sports, is averaging 10.9 million viewers – the best start in the show’s 10-season history and up 33% from last year at this point (8.2 million).

NO. 1 PRIMETIME PROGRAM ON TELEVISION FOR 4 YEARS RUNNING

NBC’s Sunday Night Football finished the 2014-15 television season as the No. 1 show in primetime in household rating, viewership and the coveted Adult 18-49 demographic, based on live plus same day data from The Nielsen Company (September-May). This marks the fourth consecutive television season — and the only four times on record — that a sports series has been the highest-rated and most-watched show of the primetime TV season.
