FOOTBALL IN HIGH HEELS: NY GIANTS HAVE A NEW GIG
EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. – The New York Football Giants have launched a lifestyle content platform, which focuses on off the field activities of both Giants players and their fans. The emphasis will be on Fashion, Fitness, Food, and Fans.
The platform will include original programming, curated material, and user generated content to tell stories of Giants players’ lives off the field and the organization’s involvement in the metropolitan community. Fans can visit Giants.com/Lifestyle to experience the website. Many of these stories and features will be broadcast on Giants Access Blue, the Giants magazine show which goes behind the scenes and up close with the players and team. Giants Access Blue airs on Saturdays at 11PM on MY9 all year long.
“Our new Giants lifestyle content offering supports our fans’ growing consumption of Giants content on a year-round basis and supplements game content, with insider content on important subject areas that touch people’s everyday lives,” said Giants Senior Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer Mike Stevens. “Our new site will enhance user engagement with our brand and our people and connect us with our fans beyond the norm in sports.”
A few examples of stories that will be featured on the website are:
- Unbreakable – Guard Justin Pugh went looking for an edge this off-season and found it training with Jay Glazer and others in the field of mixed martial arts.
- A Football Family – Family means everything to linebacker Devon Kennard. His father, a Super Bowl champion, and his older brother became his mentors in helping him achieve all his football dreams.
- Fashion Starter – While most people know Carl Banks as a former Giants’ linebacker and two-time Super Bowl champion, many do not know about his impact in the fashion world.
The new user-friendly website allows fans to always be up-to-date and informed about what goes on outside of football with the Giants players. New content will be posted continuously.
