Another day, another lesson in football. Here is a look at another unusual term for football that had me wondering what it all meant and how in the world it related to football.
Barn Burner: What It Means: This term is used to describe a wild, exciting game where the outcome is not decided until the final gun.
What I Thought It Meant: I have no clue, all this term did was get the song Farmer In The Dell stuck in my head. (except you know, trying to make it into a football related song doesn’t work. The quarterback scores a touchdown doesn’t have the same ring as the farmer takes a wife. If anyone can write a better version, please let me know)
