FOOTBALL IN HIGH HEELS: WEIGHING OPTIONS
Hello! Here is today’s lesson on football using a term I never knew existed, yet one that actually makes some sort of sense.
Option pass – This is a trick play where the quarterback hands the ball to a running back and the ball carrier has the option to either run with the ball or throw it to a receiver downfield.
What I Thought It Meant: Whomever has the ball weighs his options as to whom to pass it to on his team….basically a football version of a rose ceremony on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette.
