FOOTBALL IN HIGH HEELS: SIX TO ONE, HALF DOZEN TO ANOTHER
Today we begin with a brand new football lesson with a new term I never heard of, and one that as usual, makes me think of something that has nothing to do with football. Oh well, let’s get cracking, shall we?
50/50 Ball—What It Means: This is when a quarterback throws a long pass up for grabs where both the receiver and defensive back have an even chance of catching the ball.
What I Thought It Meant: I thought it meant that there was a 50/50 chance the touchdown would actually happen and the team would score.
After reading the real meaning, all I can picture is the guys fighting over the ball like women fighting over the bouquet at a wedding.
