TV IN HIGH HEELS: NBC’S STRONG RECAP FOR APRIL 14, 2016
Tonight, we saw a new episode of Strong on NBC. It is night two of the world premiere of the new hit series that is helping empower women and help them become the best they can be. Last night, Victoria and Sarah were sent home, where they continued their lifestyle change and became stronger than ever.
Ky and Brittany get a medallion from a previously eliminated team. The teams will have to complete an upper body challenge that involves pressing 60 reps of 40% of their combined body weight.
The purple team wins, while the olive team is in last place, sending them straight to the elimination tower. The purple team wins immunity and the medallion.
The power challenge is next, which can help save the olive team. If they win, they have a chance to get out of the elimination tower. They will then choose two teams to go there. If not, they will remain there and be joined by another team.
We get to hear a lot of stories, including Jasmine’s. She talks about her weight struggle and being bullied. My heart breaks for her, especially since it was her so-called friends bullying her.
Everyone trains and get fitbits to help track their steps and workouts.
Devon shares her story about being estranged from her family. Her trainer Todd is a sweetheart and promised that he is there for her through it all.
The next challenge is a lower body/basketball type challenge that will determine who will go into the elimination tower. If the olive team wins, they will have to choose two teams to go into the tower. If not, another team will join them.
Brittany and Nicole are neck and neck the entire time, adding pressure to the both of them. However, at the end, Brittany wins. Devon is once again in last place.
Brittany now must choose who else will go into the elimination tower. Mahogany and Dan try to convince her and Ky to let them stay, but Ky says they have not made any decisions yet. This leads to them fighting.
In the end, they put Jasmine and Wes in the elimination tower instead. They, along with the olive team prepare for the elimination tower obstacle course.
The olive team has trouble getting past the first part, while the gray team manages to go much further. The olive team finally gets past it and onto the gray team’s heels. However, it is not enough to finish and win the challenge.
Sadly, Devon and Todd are going home…but not before they finish the obstacle. She says this experience, and especially Todd, have changed her life. He tells her she is the one who made the change.
At the update, we see that Devon is a more muscular, leaner person, but most of all, she is more confident and happy.
Join us next week for more Strong. Goodnight.
