TV IN HIGH HEELS: NBC’S STRONG RECAP FOR APRIL 21, 2016
Last week on NBC’s Strong, we said goodbye to three teams, who all went on to achieve good things and meet their goals of becoming better, stronger people inside and out. This week is more of the same, with all new challenges and determination to prove these women are stronger than they believe.
We open with the blue team getting another medallion from an eliminated team. At this point, they have four and are the team to beat.
This week’s challenge has everyone on their backs and pulling themselves up on a contraption, using a bar. It is very slippery, which makes it all the more difficult. The team with the most bars up wins a medallion and immunity for the week.
It is a tough challenge, but each team brings their A-game to prove they are in it to win it.
Wes and Jasmine are in the elimination tower because they got the least amount of bars. The blue team wins…again.
I feel so bad for Wes because he feels like he let Jasmine down and because he was in so much pain during the challenge.
The next challenge focuses on cardio and legs, so the teams go to the gym to prepare.
CC and Adam keep butting heads and fighting over what to do and the appropriate way to train. The yellow team somehow also gets involved, which leads to more drama. However, they all calm down and hug it out.
Everyone continues to work out and train before the next challenge, which has all the trainers facing off. Adam has to sit out because he has an injury, but he is still eligible to be sent to the tower.
They must run, hit a target and see how many times they can do it. The one in last place in each round is eliminated.
Dan gets hurt, so things pause for a moment to make sure he is okay.
Mat and Nicole win, so they now must choose who to send to the Elimination Tower. They choose to send the yellow team, who say that it makes them want to win even more.
The two teams train harder than ever in order to do the obstacle course. Brittany is wearing a letter from her son to remind her why she is there.
The teams are both strong, but Ky falls at one point, making it seem like the gray team can take it all. Ky gets up, but keeps falling, causing the gray team to pull ahead….and win it all.
Brittany is hysterical, but Ky tells her that she is more than just winning….she is making herself into the best person she can be.
At the update, we see her leaner, stronger and better than ever. Ky is incredible proud of her and says she is a hero to other women.
Tune in next week for more Strong! Goodnight!
