As you can probably tell, I am completely stoked about this year’s Olympics in Rio. To celebrate, I am highlighting several of the people representing the USA. Today’s feature is about fencer Daryl Homer.

He was born in the Virgin Islands.
He attended St. John’s University and studied marketing.
He was the first US men’s fencer to medal in saber at the senior world championships.
His interest in the sport began when he looked up fencing in the dictionary.
He came to the US at age 5.
