TV IN HIGH HEELS: DANCING WITH THE STARS RECAP FOR OCTOBER 3, 2016
Hello and welcome to Dancing With The Stars on ABC. Tonight is Cirque du Soleil night for our dancers. Tom Bergeron and Erin Andrews are hosting, Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Julianne Hough are judging. Len Goodman is in England judging Strictly Come Dancing. Let’s get this party started!

Celebrity: Calvin Johnson Jr/Megatron

Pro: Lindsay Arnold
Dance: Charleston
FIHH: They were energetic, fun and exciting, although they did lose some of it at the end. Overall, he is improving both in showmanship and skill.
Julianne: They were so light on their feet and quirky and they nailed it.
Bruno: A showman with superpowers.
Carrie Ann: The lifts were impressive and fantastic, as was the footwork.

FIHH: They seemed very frustrated with each other this week. However, she really nailed it tonight. She seems to be finally relaxing and letting go and it shows in her dancing.
Bruno: Her lines were so good and she is like a movie queen.
Carrie Ann: She was worried because she is so demure, but she really did well tonight.
Julianne: She did really well! Make sure she embraces the struggles and leans on her partner.

FIHH: Their chemistry is undeniable. I have a feeling they are in the finals this year. She improves with each week and yet it seems to come naturally to her. They just glided on the floor like a dream, making it their best dance so far.
Carrie Ann: She is wonderful.
Julianne: She wants them to break out of the middle.
Bruno: They are stunning, but he gives her places to improve.

FIHH: That was hot. She was a bit stiff throughout parts of the dance, but she nailed the moves otherwise and seemed to really get into character. Loved it!
Julianne: Beautifully done and interesting. She wants her to get more feeling out to help with the stiffness.
Bruno: He offers advice on how to improve but liked it otherwise.
Carrie Ann: She sees so much ambition and she has what it takes to do well, but needs to stop forcing it.

FIHH: I am so sick of this body shaming stuff. I get that she is hurt, but we don’t need to keep harping on it. Sheesh! I just could not get into this dance tonight. It was very sexy and passionate, but there was something lacking for me. I can’t put my finger on what it was though.
Julianne: This is her true essence. (As an aside, I am glad they worked things out!)
Bruno: He loved it!
Carrie Ann: She enjoyed it and was blown away.

FIHH: It is hard to concentrate due to the way the camera is focusing on the pianist and panning too far out, but from what I see, it reminds me of a prom dance at the end of a teen romance movie. Sweet, cute, but not what I was expecting at this point of the competition.
Carrie Ann: He is improving and hopes he continue to do so.
Julianne: Creative and stunning.
Bruno: He was really dancing tonight.

FIHH: He seems so joyful when he dances and seems to want to do well, but for some reason it didn’t come together tonight. He realizes it too and it completely breaks my heart. He looks like a sad little puppy. I hope he comes back next week and can redeem himself.
Julianne: Not his best, but he can come back from this.
Bruno: He will do better next week.
Carrie Ann: Things like this happen, but he can be stronger next week.

FIHH: She is one hot mama! She can move it, shake it and that chemistry is incredible! I love them both and think they are the biggest surprise to come out of this season.
Bruno: He admires how well she did.
Carrie Ann: She killed it and danced beyond her body.
Julianne: She is so freaking sexy.

FIHH: I like how he kept the choreography age appropriate for her, yet still kept true to the dance. This is the best routine of the night, if not the season. Love her!
Carrie Ann: A star was born!
Julianne: She is the queen of the ballroom.
Bruno: Stunning!

Dance: Viennese waltz
FIHH: He is touring this week, so he is agitated, but determined to get everything done. Witney keeps him calm and says he is doing well. That being said, it was a very cute performance. He does need work on some things, but his hard work is certainly showing as is his good spirits.
Julianne: Well done!
Bruno: He is improving.
Carrie Ann: She sees who he can be in the competition.

FIHH: I don’t think…I am in love with this guy. Between his personality, dance talent and positivity, I just want to either marry him or clone him. This is easily my favorite dance of the night and think he just danced his way into the finals.
Bruno: Fantastic!
Carrie Ann: What a way to end the night.
Julianne: He is amazing and the real deal.
