SPARTAN IN HIGH HEELS: CHRISTMAS DAY SPECIAL
WHAT: Spartan Race, the global leader in obstacle racing (www.spartan.com), will showcase all of the action from the 2016 Reebok Spartan Race World Championship in Lake Tahoe on NBC!
Set on the same ground as the 1960 Winter Olympics, over 10,000 athletes from around the globe will scale the challenging mountain terrain to compete for over $100,000 in cash and prizes.

WHO: Top athletes from all over the world came to Lake Tahoe to compete and test themselves on the tough terrain and best endurance competition available.
2015 Reebok Spartan Race World Champions Robert Killian (USA) and Zuzana Kocumova (CZE) will return to defend their titles, as well as married couple, Lindsay Webster (CAN) and Ryan Atkins (CAN) who were both winners of the 2016 Spartan U.S. Championship Series. The competitive field will also include former World Champion Hobie Call (USA), Jon Albon (UK), and other top athletes from across the globe. Competitors qualified for the World Championship by placing in the top 5 in one of the qualifying races in over 25 Countries.
In addition to the top Spartan competitors, the episode will feature NFL legend Randy Moss looking to complete his Spartan Trifecta. The Trifecta entails completing all three Spartan core race types (Sprint, Super, Beast) within a calendar year. He will compete in the Beast race during the World Championship.
