dancing with the starsTV IN HIGH HEELS: DANCING WITH THE STARS RECAP FOR APRIL 24, 2017

Hello and welcome to Disney Night on ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Tonight is Boy Band vs. Girl Group with our first group dance of the season. Nick Carter is filling in for Nick Hough as judge and Maks Chmerkovskiy is back to dance with Heather Morris.

Star: Simone Biles

Claim To Fame: Olympic gymnast

Band/Song: Survivor by Destiny’s Child

Pro: Sasha Farber

Dance: Samba

FIHH: The dancing is amazing, but this music is horrible! It really distracts from the dancing and is quite annoying.

Len: She has lots of control and the choreography was clever.

Bruno: Sassy and amazing

Carrie Ann: She enjoyed it.

Nick: He also enjoyed it.

Scores: 9-8-9-9=35 out of 40

Star: Bonner Bolton

Claim To Fame: Professional bull rider/model

Band/Song: I Want It That Way by Backstreet Boys

Pro: Sharna Burgess

Dance: Rumba

FIHH: The chemistry is off the charts. Hot, sexy and incredible. There is nothing else to say.

Bruno: He got her in the end!

Carrie Ann: Solid, solid rumba.

Nick: He could not be more proud of what he saw.

Len: Not the best, not the worst.

Scores: 8-8-7-7=30 out of 40

Star: Nancy Kerrigan

Claim To Fame: Olympic figure skater

Band/Song:  Free Your Mind En Vogue

Pro: Artem Chigvinstev

Dance: Paso Doble

FIHH: Despite her stress and frustration, she actually did a good job and let go of EVERYTHING. This was her best dance to date because we got to see her personality, talent and true colors shine on the dance floor.

Carrie Ann: This was spot on.

Nick: He loved it.

Len: She is a terrific dancer and just needs to get out of her head.

Bruno: She did well but needs to not lose the shape.

Scores: 9-8-8-8=33 out of 40

Star: Nick Viall

Claim To Fame: Bachelor

Band/Song: Fun, Fun, Fun by Beach Boys

Pro: Peta Murgatroyd

Dance: Jive

FIHH: It is adorable, but once again, the music is distracting, as are the other dancers. He looks like he is having a blast and it just makes the dance that much better.

Nick: He could be in a boy band, but can work on the moves a bit more.

Len: He needs a bit more polish, but it was entertaining.

Bruno: He enjoyed it, but offered places to improve.

Carrie Ann: She offered some pointers on where to improve, but likes that he is coming out of his shell.

Scores: 7-7-7-7=28 out of 40

Star: Normani Kordei

Claim To Fame: Fifth Harmony star

Band/Song: When I Grow Up by Pussycat Dolls

Pro: Valentin Chmerkovskiy

Dance: Salsa

FIHH: Wait—they started in the middle of the dance with no intro package or anything. I don’t get the construction workers in the dance, but it worked. It was one hot performance!

Len: She is a great dancer, but he wants more salsa.

Bruno: He screams over how much he liked it.

Carrie Ann: She is fantastic and always sticks it.

Nick: She can take this all the way.

Scores: 10-10-8-10=38 out of 40

Star: David Ross

Claim To Fame: MLB star/Current World Series Champion

Band/Song: I Want You Back from NSYNC

Pro: Lindsay Arnold

Dance: Argentine Tango

FIHH: They seemed to struggle and butt heads this week, but he certainly improved from last week. I am loving the fact that he sees her as a teammate rather than a coach. That lift really made the dance come together….so amazing!

Bruno: It was good, but a bit shaky.

Carrie Ann: She feels like something was off tonight.

Nick: He is a fighter and this is his best work.

Len: He senses his frustration, but thinks he did a marvelous job.

Scores: 7-8-7-7=29 out of 40

Star: Rashad Jennings

Claim To Fame: NFL free agent

Band/Song: I’ll Be There from the Four Tops

Pro: Emma Slater

Dance: Tango

FIHH:  It took a bit long to get started, but once it did, I didn’t want it to end! He seemed to be concentrating a bit too much, but I loved his joy and smile from start to finish.

Carrie Ann: He had style and technique.

Nick: He is at elite level.

Len: It was a proper tango.

Nick: He nailed it.

Bruno:  It was strong and driven.

Scores: 9-10-9-9=37 out of 40

Star: Heather Morris

Claim To Fame: Glee star

Band/Song: Waterfalls from TLC

Pro: Maks Chmerkovskiy

Dance: Rumba

FIHH: It is great to see them together again, but I think that she had better chemistry with Alan. However, that dance was beautiful.

Nick: It was his favorite dance of the night.

Len: It was a knockout dance.

Bruno: Stunning and amazing.

Carrie Ann: Her best dance.

Scores: PERFECT SCORE!!!

Time for the team dances. Team Boy Band vs. Team Girl Group. The team that is safe is Boy Band, which had David and Lindsay, Bonner and Sharna, Nick and Peta and Rashad and Emma are safe. Everyone else is in jeopardy and—I’m sorry? What? None of them really deserve to be eliminated at this point, but again—what?

Each team will have each couple do a solo.

Team Boy Band channeled Magic Mike, which was HOT! It then turned into  a boy band concert, which was quite entertaining.

The judges loved it and gave them a 33 out of 40. This will be added to their scores.

Girl Group channeled a slumber party turned sexy, which was interesting. They received a 34 out of 40, which will be added to their final scores.

Results!

Simone and Sasha and Normani and Val are called safe, which left Heather and Maks and Nancy and Artem in the bottom two.

The couple eliminated is….Heather and Maks.

Movie night next week! Stay tuned!
