TV IN HIGH HEELS: DANCING WITH THE STARS RECAP FOR SEPTEMBER 18, 2017

Hello and welcome to the 25th season premiere of ABC’s Dancing With The Stars! We have all new celebrities, a brand new pro to join our all star cast, an incredible troupe and our amazing judges and hosts to make this EPIC. Let’s get started.

After an incredible group dance, we get down to business. Congrats to Mandy Moore for her Emmy on choreography.

Celebrity: Terrell ’TO’ Owens

Claim To Fame: NFL  icon

Pro: Cheryl Burke

Dance: Cha cha cha

Sammi: She is so little compared to him. I forgot what a tough teacher she is, but she gets results and proved that she is amazing time and time again.

Um, is he a mime? What was that beginning? He is a bit stiff in terms of footwork, but he seems to be in time with her and having a great time! That smile is contagious!

Len: He really got the party started. He is entertaining, fun and energetic…but he needs to work on his feet.

Scores: 5-5-5=15 out of 30

One judge comment per couple due to timing? Okay then!

Celebrity: Debbie Gibson

Claim To Fame: 80s pop icon

Pro: Alan Bersten

Dance: Foxtrot

Sammi: It’s like a wedding or prom dance, but very beautiful. She has class and grace and I have to say that I think we are going to have to watch out for her!

Bruno: He called her Debbie Allen—awkward!  She was lovely, but needs to watch her arms and back.

Scores: 6-5-6=17 out of 30

Celebrity: Sasha Pieterse

Claim To Fame: Pretty Little Liars star

Pro: Gleb Savchenko

Dance: Cha cha cha

Sammi: She is so cute and seems to have a great sense of humor. She is definitely the happiest contestant so far—she is like a blonde Marissa Jaret Winokur. That dance was fun, flirty, sexy and energetic. I don’t think there was more she could have done to make it better—even with the timing issue.

Carrie Ann: She brings the sexiness and technique. She did well, despite losing timing.

Scores: 6-6-6=18 out of 30

Celebrity: Drew Scott

Claim To Fame: Property Brother

Pro: Emma Slater

Dance: Foxtrot

Sammi: Aw, his brother is there too for the meeting. I think I want to marry this dude. Seriously. However, he is marrying someone else, so there goes that dream. He is also a karate kid!

His personality definitely shines in this dance. His technique needs some work, but he will get there and be on the show for quite awhile.

Len: He needs to work on his hands, feet and technique…he also needs more finesse.

Scores: 6-5-5=16 out of 30

Aw, Jonathan is there with them as they got their scores! If I ever do this show, I would want my siblings with me as well.

Celebrity: Barbara Corcoran

Claim To Fame: Shark Tank star

Pro: Keo Motsepe

Dance: Salsa

Sammi: She is really hitting on Keo! I like this woman! She is sassy, fun and a big ball of energy. Her technique may not be the best, but I can’t help but love her!

Bruno: He loves her, but she needs to work on her feet.

Scores: 5-4-5=14 out of 30

Celebrity: Jordan Fisher

Claim To Fame: Hamilton and Grease Live star

Pro: Lindsay Arnold

Dance: Tango

Sammi: They are so cute together and so sweet! I love the both of them. This was by far the best dance of the night as of right now. I think she may have a mirrorball trophy in her future.

Carrie Ann: They are the ones to watch.

Scores: 8-7-7=22 out of 30

Celebrity: Nick Lachey

Claim To Fame: 98 Degrees star

Pro: Peta Murgatroyd

Dance: Cha cha cha

Sammi: He is being teased because his brother won season 2. I don’t like that there were other dancers in the beginning, it’s too distracting. He looks so uncomfortable out there, but at least his technique is decent. If you combine him and Drew Scott, you’d have a near perfect dancer.

Len: He went for it and it was strong, but it could have been slicker.

Scores: 6-6-6=18 out of 30

Celebrity: Vanessa Lachey

Claim To Fame: TV host

Pro: Maks Chmerkovskiy

Dance: Cha cha cha

Sammi: Well, that was not at all what I expected. She is very good technique wise, but I don’t know how to feel about the whole baby theme.

Bruno: He loved it, but gives her advice on where to improve.

Scores: 7-7-7=21 out of 30

Celebrity: Frankie Muniz

Claim To Fame: Malcolm in the Middle star

Pro: Witney Carson

Dance: Foxtrot

Sammi: This is definitely one of the top dances of the night. It was beautiful, classy and so sweet to watch. I can see America falling in love!

Carrie Ann: She loved it and how sweet and vulnerable it was.

Scores: 7-6-6=19 out of 30.

Celebrity: Nikki Bella

Claim To Fame:  WWE star

Pro: Artem Chigvintsev

Dance:

Sammi: I am a huge WWE fan and am so excited about this….especially if John Cena is in the audience. It seems like a very basic tango. I like the fire added, but it seems like they are demonstrating rather than performing. However, that body slam was epic!

Len: Good body contact, but stop looking down.

Scores: 7-7-6=20 out of 30

Celebrity: Derek Fisher

Claim To Fame: NBA star

Pro: Sharna Burgess

Dance: Salsa

Sammi: Hey, he is actually really good! I am not liking the other dancers there because it is so distracting, but his personality is amazing. How can you not fall in love?

Bruno: He took center stage and did his thing!

Scores: 6-6-6=18 out of 30

Celebrity: Victoria Arlen

Claim To Fame: Paralympic swimmer, ESPN host

Pro: Val Chmerkoskiy

Dance: Cha cha cha

Sammi: She is such an inspiration. I am crying listening to her story. My jaw is on the floor. I can’t even at anything except WOW!!!!

Carrie Ann: It was one of the most joyous performances she has ever seen. She also loves the technique.

Scores: 7-6-6=19 out of 30

Celebrity: Lindsey Stirling

Claim To Fame: Violinist

Pro: Mark Ballas

Dance: Cha cha cha

Sammi: I am thrilled Mark is back! These two definitely have chemistry and their performance was a great way to end the night. Loved it!

Len: Crisp, clean with great leg and hip action. Dance of the night!

Scores: 7-8-7=22 out of 30

Top scores: Lindsey/Mark and Jordan/Lindsay

Bottom: Barbara/Keo
