WWE IN HIGH HEELS: TRIBUTE TO THE TROOPS
WWE’s 15th annual Tribute to the Troops took place at Naval Base San Diego this year and will air a two-hour special tomorrow at 8/7C as part of WWE Holiday Week on USA Network.
WWE began Tribute to the Troops in 2003 at Camp Victory in Bagdad, Iraq as a way to honor our servicemen and women and their families. Today, it is considered TV’s most patriotic and heartwarming show of the year. Over the past 15 years, Tribute to the Troops has connected with every branch of the military and visited bases around the world, including Baghram Airfield in Afghanistan, Joint Base Balad in Iraq, Marine Corps Base Quantico in Virginia, Fort Hood in Texas, and this year Naval Base San Diego.
Tribute to the Troops will feature footage from numerous 2017 on-base activities. While in San Diego, WWE Superstars and Legends spent time giving back to military personnel and their families with activities such as a Be a STAR® bullying prevention rally, hospital visits and military outreach initiatives at various installations including Naval Base San Diego, Naval Air Station North Island and San Diego Naval Medical Center.
