Stanley Cup Playoff Weekend Schedule

STAMFORD, Conn. – April 19, 2019 – NBC Sports will present five Stanley Cup Playoffs matchups tonight and Saturday, including a doubleheader tonight on NBCSN and two pivotal Game 5s on Saturday on NBC.

Coverage tonight on NBCSN begins at 7 p.m. ET with Game 5 of the (3) Toronto Maple Leafs-(2) Boston Bruins series, which is tied at two games apiece. NBCSN’s doubleheader continues at 10 p.m. ET, when the (WC2) Colorado Avalanche look to advance to the Second Round with a Game 5 win against the (1) Calgary Flames. Pre-game coverage begins with NHL Live tonight at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

NBC Sports will present three Stanley Cup Playoffs matchups on Saturday, beginning at 3 p.m. ET on NBC, when the (1) Nashville Predators host the (WC1) Dallas Stars in Game 5 of their First Round series, tied 2-2. Coverage on NBC continues in primetime at 8 p.m. ET with Game 5 coverage of the (WC1) Carolina Hurricanes-(1) Washington Capitals series, also tied 2-2.

Saturday’s coverage also features Game 6 of the (2) Winnipeg Jets-(3) St. Louis Blues series at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as the Blues attempt to advance to the Second Round with a victory at home. Sunday’s Stanley Cup Playoffs schedule has not yet been determined.

NBCSports.com and the NBC Sports app – NBC Sports Group’s live streaming product for desktops, mobile devices, tablets, and Connected TVs – will live stream all games airing on NBC, NBCSN, USA Network, and CNBC via “TV Everywhere” throughout the 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs.

TEAM USA OLYMPIC GOLD MEDALIST HILARY KNIGHT TO SERVE AS GUEST STUDIO ANALYST THIS SATURDAY, APRIL 20, ON NBC & NBCSN

Team USA women’s hockey Olympic gold medalist Hilary Knight will join NBC Sports’ Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage as a guest studio analyst this Saturday, April 20, on NBC and NBCSN. Knight will contribute to studio coverage of Jets-Blues on NBCSN and Hurricanes-Capitals on NBC.

A three-time Olympian, Knight most recently led Team USA women’s hockey to its second-ever Olympic gold medal at 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics. She recorded two goals and an assist in the 2018 Olympic Games, including a power-play goal in the gold-medal final against Canada. Last season, she played for Les Canadiennes de Montreal of the Canadian Women’s Hockey League.

TONIGHT – APRIL 19, 2019

NHL Live, hosted by Mike Tirico, Jeremy Roenick and Keith Jones begins at 6 p.m. ET on NBCSN.

Coverage of Game 5 between the Maple Leafs and Bruins begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN. The Bruins tied the series at two games apiece with a 6-4 win over the Maple Leafs in Game 4 on Tuesday night, led by a three-point effort from Brad Marchand (1g/2a) and two goals from David Pastrnak. NBCSN’s doubleheader continues at 10 p.m. ET with Game 5 of Avalanche-Flames. Colorado pushed Calgary to the brink of elimination with a 3-2 overtime win on Wednesday night. Mikko Rantanen tied the game late in the third period, then netted the winning goal for the Avs midway through OT.

SATURDAY, APRIL 20

NBC continues its 2019 Stanley Cup Playoffs coverage at 3 p.m. ET with Game 5 of Stars-Predators. Dallas was dominant in a 5-1 win in Game 4 on Wednesday to tie the series at two games apiece. Game 6 of Jets-Blues begins at 7 p.m. ET on NBCSN, as the Blues look to advance to the Second Round after defeating Winnipeg 3-2 in Game 5 on Thursday. The Blues scored three unanswered goals in the third period, with Jaden Schwartz scoring the game-winner with 15 seconds left in regulation.

Primetime coverage on NBC starts at 8 p.m. ET with Game 5 of Hurricanes-Capitals. After falling in an 0-2 hole, Carolina won Games 3 and 4 at home, led by three goals from Warren Foegele over that span.
