BASEBALL IN HIGH HEELS: TV ALERT

Last game in this four game series of sorts between the Yankees and the Phillies.

Phillies strike first with a three run homer from J.T. Realmuto in the bottom of the first.

Yankees battle back in the top of the second starting with a bunt single from Brett Gardner. Gio Urshela would reach on a error by second baseman Scott Kingery. Tyler Wade would walk to load the bases. Ultimately it would be a single by Mike Tauchman that allowed two runs to score. Yanks close to within one. 3-2 Phillies.

But the Phillies answered in the third. With two players on base, Phill Gosselin double to drive two to home plate. Phillies extend their lead to 5-2.

No more runs would score until the top of the seventh when Gary Sanchez hit a home run that richochted back into the park, Bryce Harper fielding it like it was still in play. Phillies would review the call, which was upheld. Yankees once again within one, 5-4.

New York brought in Aaron Judge in the eighth, replacing Brett Gardner to try and even the score. But it would be the ninth when DJ LeMahieu, pinch-hitting for Tyler Wade, and Mike Tauchman would reach base. But Philadelphia would strand them as Luke Voit flies out to end the game.

Phillies win 5-4 and the teams split the series.

Yankees take on the Tampa Bay Rays in Florida with four games in three days.

Phillies host the Braves the next four days..
