2020 Tour de France – Stage 14 Recap

Stage 14: CLERMONT-FERRAND>LYON

 

A two man breakaway went off the front. As the peloton approached the intermediate sprint, Peter Sagan’s team, Bora-Hansgrohe, picked up the pace and managed to put distance between Sagan and the current leader of the green jersey competition, Sam Bennett.

Stefan Kung, became a solo rider off the front before finally being caught with 80km left. Bora-Hansgrohe and CCC kept the pace high, keeping Bennett at bay but attacks off the front as the final helper dropped off. Soren Kragh Andersen got clear with 3km to go and took the stage. Sagan came in fourth, but managed to gain 23 points on Bennett.

Primoz Roglic stays in yellow another day.
